Welcome to the Lollipop School
Inspired by a love of children and a belief that childhood should be a journey and not a race.
Located in Park Ridge, NJ, the Lollipop School is an educationally focused preschool set up on an elementary school format. Our curriculum is designed to meet all of the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs of the children in our care. We strive to meet the needs of each child while creating a fun, caring environment that enhances a love of learning. We maintain an environment that challenges the children and encourages intellectual growth. The safety and happiness of our children has always been and will continue to be our top priority.
Inspired by a love of children, and a belief that childhood should be a journey and not a race, a school teacher set out in 1959 to realize a dream. With limited resources and funding, she opened what would become known as the Lollipop Day Nursery School and Day Camp.
This family-owned and operated preschool has since passed into the hands of the founder’s son, James Angelillo, his wife Kara, and his daughter Lorraine. They continue to carry forth the tradition begun by his school teacher-mother over fifty years ago. They now cater to the second and third generation of many families.
Fifty years has proven that the right people, with the right training and dedication, make all the difference in the tender early years of a young child. Today, Lollipop School’s reputation as the premier early-childhood facility in the Pascack Valley is well-known. Teachers here are carefully screened, and all have four-year degrees with education certification from accredited colleges.
With a state of the art building constructed in 1998, Lollipop School stands ready to forge ahead as a proven leader in the field of early childhood education. Here on the magnificent, park-like grounds, children have the benefit of three playgrounds, an indoor gym, a cafeteria, and an art room. As an added precaution, a generator, panic alarm, and electronic locking system has been installed to help ensure as safe an environment as possible. The entire building and grounds are constantly monitored by 34 video cameras.
